The vertebra are loosely strung in sequence on a high tensile nylon filament, and each vertebra can be removed. One hand and one foot are are loosely articulated on high tensile nylon filament. The four part skull can be dissected with individual extractable teeth, detachable calvaria, detachable spring-articulated mandible, and a hinged mandibular section, which opens to expose roots of teeth in their sockets. Skeleton also includes intervertebral discs, hyoid bone, sternum with costal cartilages, and sacrum with coccyx. All other included bones are supplied individually and disarticulated. The Numbered version is equipped with hand-numbered bones and significant osteological features one the left half of the skeleton, supplied with key to coded structures. Both skeletons include a Skeletal Lab Investigations Package, containing an illustrated guide, audio CD, and a set of 16 reproducible review and test-sheet copy masters, as well as WARD'S Human Osteological Preparations Brochure. Skeletons come packaged in a heavy-gauge plywood compartmented case with tough, leather-grain vinyl and metal-reinforced corners, complete with handle, locks and keys.
